This weekend my daughter’s best friend celebrated her 10th birthday. After a hilarious time sumo wrestling in inflatable suits and make-your-own-sushi with a professional sushi chef, the day was topped off with the most adorable desserts I have ever seen, handmade by the host herself. Hold on to your sweet tooth.
Using a combination of colored peeps, fruit roll-ups, and marshmallow rice-krispy-treats, the traditional Nigiri never looked so yummy.
The California rolls are enough to make anyone skip the main course and jump right to dessert. I think most kids would be just fine with that. Keeping the theme going, some small rice paper umbrellas in a thick luscious dollop of icing changed the classic cupcake, a kid’s party staple, into a work of art. Job well done, mom.
Time to dig in. Say Sayonara to these goodies!
