I love to look through old keepsake boxes at my daughters’ old clothing, the little dresses and tights, tiny socks and shoes. It’s amazing that they were ever that small. But they were. And I want to remember it for as long as I can.
A few Years ago, I did a project that involved making pin boards out of kids’ keepsake clothing and foam core boards. I received such a positive response, I thought I should present it again for my newer readers.
I have linked a video of my spot on “Home With Lisa Quinn” where I presented this little DIY project. I invite you to watch it to get all of the details. But before that, I want you to think specifically about YOUR kid. What do they love, their interests, their style, favorite colors or music. Have they won any awards, spelling bees? Do they love to read? To climb? To draw? Take some candid shots of them doing what they love, being there most authentic self. Then collect some items that you feel add to the story, the details. Eventually you will find that you have exactly what you need right in front of you.
Here are your next steps…
Now that you get the idea, go for it! And please send the results my way. I would absolutely love to see them. I live for details.
