Earth Day, Launch Day, April 22, 2013. Hello to everyone! To my new readers, welcome and thank you for stopping in. My mission with this blog is to share with you all of the exciting ideas and projects I have had the privilege to create over the last few decades. Decades! That still sounds unbelievable. I have learned so much and still have so much to show the world. My studio is bursting. My head is spinning; and my hard drives are heading toward overload. Juvenile Hall Design is here to present all that is fantastic about design for kids, whimsy, beauty, inspiration, celebration, dreams, humor, and most of all creativity. We will get messy. We will be bold. And we will be honest! This is where we will take on challenges and roll with the punches, because with kids, you have to. I encourage your participation and questions, And hope you will share what you learn for others to see. Before we get started, here are the people I would like to thank.
Just a quick bit of history and thank-you’s to those who have made this possible for me. About 9 months ago, I decided to immerse myself in the design blog world. I have read literally thousands of blogs. I starting with the world-renowned heavy hitters like Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge, and Decor8. Then worked my way to the local gals like SFGirl By Bay and Spotted SF. I eventually took classes with the ALTsummit ladies and their talented colleagues then moved to the infamous Blog Boss herself Holly Becker of Décor8 and her troupe of international creatives. Then it came time to join the tech heads. That’s where the Squarespace geniuses allowed me to make my visions a reality. While I may be nearing middle age in the design world, I am barely a toddler in the blog universe. But I have been met with some of the most passionate souls. The enthusiasm and encouragement are beyond anything I have ever encountered. I couldn’t feel more optimistic. Yet my stomach is in knots. This is the best feeling in the world. Finally, to my family for allowing me all of those extra hours down in the studio, I could not embark on this exciting day with out thanking you all.
